This release was scheduled for this date and I'm not postponing it.
First of all, we release it for people, kind, open, for the people who got love in their hearts.
For the past four months, I have lived in Kyiv with my boyfriend and our dog, to expand our borders, to work, and how they say just to get out of the comfort zone. I personally thought until the last week before the war has started that it was all an informational provocation that seeds fear. On the 14th of February, we managed to fly off while air space was still open.
Right now there are people who are in constant fear for their lives and their children. Those are simple people who are good and open.
Those, who cured my dog of the virus. Those, who looked after her while we were away.
Friends and all who were in our lives while we lived there.
Returning home to Almaty, I saw the remnants of looting, burned government buildings after the January events.
This threw me into a paralyzed state of mind because it is impossible to pretend to be blind.
I release this song as a way in which I can somehow help and not feel useless.
I encourage everyone to listen to our work in Bandcamp and I will personally send all the funds to a trusted foundation to help people and children and hopefully their pets too.
There should be no such degradation in the 21st century, and we have all the tools to make our world a better place.
We are all people and we are all the same, and each of us has the same values.
We are not divided into races and nations. Russian blood flows in me, my great-grandfather and great-grandmother, and my grandmother also once lived in Ukraine. My grandfathers are Kazakhs.
And this should only emphasize us as a culture, but not divide us in any way. We are all humans and we all want peace.
I am releasing this track with a help of Dasha (a friend from Kyiv) who made me a visual for this track. With who we shot video clips and photos in beautiful places of Kyiv. I remember how bright the sun was that day, and I thought that I would definitely come there again. But that day I did not go there, instead of that, I was in a rush to book a ticket and went to the veterinary clinic to get the certificate of departure for Lilo, where all foreigners with their pets felt unsafe and tried to leave. Trust me, it was chaotic.
Everyone who is comfortable and safe right now, I ask you to awaken awareness of this situation and help those in need. We are able to restore the situation and take at least some action.
You do not have to love and support my music, but by doing this we will be able to help people who now need our help more than anyone else.
This one is for Dasha and her beautiful country.
